Default Armor All wheel protectant? Clearcoat safe?

Happy Friday C4 forum!

What do you guys think of this?

Amazon Amazon

I dont use armor all products at all but this got great reviews. Trying to minimize brake dust buildup. Has anyone used this on the sawblades? Any ill effect on the clear coat? Thanks a milli

I've used it on my old CTS-V and my S6 too. The stuff is amazing and actually works! I wouldn't recommend it if you have black rims...you can see a light film from the spray.

I've used it. This stuff works great. You need to have the wheels off the car to apply it properly but after that brake dust & dirt just rinse right off.

I just did all my brakes and rotors and went with a carbon ceramic brake pad that is supposed to have minimal dust. Haven't had much of a chance to drive it yet. I'm hoping to have cleaner looking wheels for a little longer with these pads. Seems most logical to try to get it at the source. Getting in the habit of taking the wheels off the car and cleaning them inside and out with soapy water to prevent buildup inside.

Since its corporate America we're talking about I bet they just repackaged it and increased the price.

The one I linked to is cheaper at auto part stores. Thats where I got mine but that was a couple months ago, not sure if its still stocked.

I've been fully detailing cars for years for ease of use look into optimum Opti-Seal it's a WOWA product and lasts a good amount of time or Opti coat which lasts for 2 years. I use Opti seal and a quick detailer or optimum car wax (spray on) after washing to keep everything shiny and slippery.
Or just use a regular wax on your wheels, try to stay with a hybrid or a sealant since they last much longer then carnuba.
Nothing will stick to your wheels, I have 150k on my daily driver and the wheels including the barrels look like when I took it off the showroom floor.

Of course a good "dustless" brake pad will go a long way as well.

Thanks for the advice. I agree and agree with the couple others who mentioned wax and coating. I researched a lot of that when I was planning a full detail of my car. Forgot to mention in my first post that I bought this spray before I learned about all the coatings! haha Just gonna use it up now
