[C2] Wonder where the VIN and trim tags went?

Default Wonder where the VIN and trim tags went?
Found this birdcage on ebay. Wonder what car the VIN and trim tag and chunk of birdcage ended up on. I guess the rivets will look original if you weld in the chunk of the birdcage.

I looked at the pics, closed the window. Went right back to look at something again and it shows sold for $2300.
