Default What did you do to your C2 today.

The sun came out and it got close to 30 degrees out so I washed it and went for a quick drive.

Nothing, it's still in winter hibernation. I must say though, I thought about it yesterday with 70 degree temps but back to reality today with temps in the 30's.

70° in Pennsylvania yesterday had the 65 out to cars and coffee where I bought a 64 convertible that was only used slightly in the last 20 years. 365 horse 4 speed with power brakes.

Drove it to cars and coffee this morn Captree NY.
Gotta say you really find where the drafts are with the rag top up when it is 32 degrees ☺

I put things back together yesterday after removing a broken alternator bracket bolt from my engine. Did a short test drive.
I'll take a longer drive today.
Gotta love cheap, too short bolts. There was only about 5/16" of the bolt in the head. At least it came out easily.

I finally picked up a hard top a couple of weeks ago for the 66. Decent top but had scratches in the window, dried up weatherstripping and two small holes in headliner. Needed a color change too (yellow) but the price was good enough that I could replace it all and not be in it too deep. Sanded and buffed the window. Top needs a lit more buffing and reassembly.

Had black leather put back in the car that had been missing for 40+ years, so now the trim tag matches the interior as it should be.

Cold but clear in Fort Wayne, Indiana today so I took mine out for a nice long drive, came home, detailed the car then ordered a couple of POR15 products from Amazon.

Beats the heck out of doing my taxes

I got half way through replacing the valve seals.

Discovered all of my rotors are still riveted and all are at 1.250...

...found the source of my nasty vibration

Looks like a broken belt in this Coker goldline 205/75R15

I installed the newly recovered seats into my '65 project. First time trying this. Looking forward to driving it this summer!
