Default Anyone powder coat the OEM fuel rail?

I'm going back to the OEM fuel rail when I install the MSD intake... Was planning to just paint it black to match the intake, but now I'm thinking about having it powder coated. I really don't know much about powder coating.. I'm betting someone else here has already done this??

Michael,

Yes Sir I have Powder coated (2) of them and going to powder coat another satin black to compliment my Mamo Ported/Painted MSD intake. Cost you about $50

Great!

I need to find someplace to send it to....

Did you coat the quick connect fitting area? (Not sure what else to call that, but I'm sure you know what I'm referring to.....)

Schrader valve...and you'd most likely want to mask the threads/end.

Edit...unless your talking about the fuel supply end. You'd want to mask that as well.

I figured you probably knew what a Schrader valve was...but it was still morning for me, and I don't drink coffee.

If you got an oven and buy the small kit from Eastwood then you can do it yourself.

Yep, once you buy the application kit then all you need to do other items is the actual media. Just google eastwood.

Thanks Undy. i've been watching a few videos and can't believe how simple this process is.... I'm eye-balling all kinds of things that I could coat.

Just watched some of those videos as well. it is tempting! I need to do my brake calipers, and could do a lot more if I bought the kit!

You could even do those Kingsbury thrust bearing housings...

Not sure if my oven rack would hold the weight.... Good timing though, I'm in the middle of converting our last machine over to tilt-pads bearings, and was just inspecting the thrust pads.
