2009 z06 swinging/unsteady idle (SOLVED)
So as the title states I've finally found time to let you guys and gals know why my z06 was having so many issues with the idle after being tuned. As it turns out, it was not the tune. Long story short, my z06 was having trouble finding idle whether it was coasting in neutral, clutch in, or just sitting at idle.
The issue was the MAP sensor seal. The little orange seal had 3 tears in it which was causing the car to add 3 grams of air at idle and at times would even make the car stall out coming to a stop. GM wants 14 dollars for the seal however the same seal is used on Harley Davidson's and can be found via this part number:
I hope this info helps any of you having issues with your idle. The car is solid now thanks to quick thinking and expertise of EFI Peformance in Richmond V.A.
