I like it. I'd like to see an example in red, white and blue as well. Actually, I like any small bit of color with white even if it's just the calipers or the GS hash marks.

I would absolutely remove it or you are going to be very sorry in a few years. Assuming it is vinyl, all those little pieces WILL begin to peel. You will then have places where the paint faded surrounding all these pieces a bit making it look horrible. You will not be able to repair these areas by buffing. You will never be able to line the same decal back up on the old one. Stripes are different. You can remove them and the install new since all you have to do is line up the two perfectly staright side lines.
