Default So who would have picked the black exhaust tips option

If they had one for little or no change in cost.

Count me in on black.

I don't love chrome, but I do like polished stainless steel exhaust tips.

I would say if you have black wheels and badges you would generally go with the black tips. I have both so I would. I'm also fine with the SS tips but definitely look crappy after a while when the rest of the car is still clean.

Unless you've let the SS tips go uncleaned for months, a damp microfiber towel is all one needs to keep them spotless. It takes all of 1-2 minutes.

Even if they have gotten badly tarnished, 10-15 minutes with any metal polish brings them right back.

Clean stainless steel just has a nice rich tone.

I'm betting this will be similar to the wheel debate.

The exhaust tips should be exactly as they are, nice polished stainless steel. Easy to clean/keep clean. If you want black, just let them get dirty and never wipe them down.

I don't see a big argument here, but all I was doing was pointing out I have any options to vote for in the poll above.

Sorry is that what they are? Mine are always carbon covered tips Everything on my car is grey, black, carbon flash. These are the only shiny object on the outside of my car other then the rings on the center caps. I know the majority here like the polished SS but was wondering what % would go black given the opportunity. I think GM is leaving some cash on the table by not offering them.

I don't like the in your face polished stainless steel exhaust tips, black would be less noticeable. One of the reasons I went with the stock exhaust was because of the extra large stainless horns on the NPP system.

Would probably pick black if a no-charge option. I like the stock SS tips even though I'm generally not a huge fan of stainless.

One of the reasons I went with the NPP system is because of the extra large stainless horns plus the different sound levels.

Black exhaust tips would have looked good with my color scheme. Also would probably hide the exhaust soot on the exterior tips.
