ZL1 vs Z06 technology
How does GM get away with offering a higher performance magnetic suspension with their Camaro ZL1 and we get treated to the same old one for the 2017 Z06 ? Its bad enough that they also got the A10 but considering the Z06 is their highest price Chevy it stands to reason that it should have the best upgraded components.

What makes you say it's a "higher performance magnetic suspension" on the ZL1? Also, the ZL1 1LE doesn't use MR shocks at all.

1. Do you own a C7 Z06?
2. Looking at your previous posts every single one is some type of confrontational or inflammatory or something negative about the C7 Z06... odd to me a long standing member such as yourself would be so down on such a great car. not perfect.. but great, a supercar worthy of the nickname, for a fraction of supercar prices...

If you want better suspension just buy some aftermarket shocks. Plenty of threads discussing suspension upgrades here.
GM shouldn't innovate a new model while still producing an older model?

I'm curious reading through you old post. What do you drive or own? You appear to be all over the place with opinion and perception but nothing with value add.
What do you own?

Worthless poster and a waste of time reading his garbage.

I'm not sure if it was the overall interior you didn't like or the seats themselves. A couple weeks ago I sat in a new ZL1, which comes with Recaro seats as part of the package, and I wasn't liking the seating position at all until I played with all of the adjustments. Once I did that, I found the perfect position for me and I told my buddy that I could drive the car all day long like that. So, if it was just the seat that you didn't like, you should find a ZL1 and play for a couple minutes. I don't know if there are any other interior differences between the SS and the ZL1.

Z06 over a ZL1 any day... I see them as apples and oranges. I too sat in a ZL1 and found the seating in the C7 a lot better not in how the seats felt but in the overall space in the cabin. Dont ask me why but I did not feel as cramped in the C7 as I did in the ZL1.
The ZL1 1LE is pretty cool looking camaro, except for the ironing board spoiler. Has some cool technology in it. Its no Z06 either, it's cool but in the end it's just another camaro.

It'd be fun to have a ZL1 in the stable to blast around the track with, but I wouldn't get rid of a Z to make room for one. Unless I had 3, which I don't. But it would definitely go:
Z06 Convertible
Z07 Coupe
ZL1 1LE Camaro
Z06 Convertible
Z07 Coupe
ZL1 1LE Camaro

The Z06is a cooler looking car with a slightly nicer interior. But the ZL1 is 99% of performance of a Z06, so I'm not sure how that makes it just another Camaro!

I am impressed by much of what GM is doing, i.e. CTS-V, C7 Z06 , and Camaro, etc. .
I have owned and found the CTS-V to be a great car, maybe the best 4 door driving experience available. As a owner of a Ferrari 458, maybe the best overall driving experience, I can honestly say as an owner of a C7 Z06 , it is great fun and often my choice to take for a ride.
However, I do not have any experience with the Camaro. What competes with it, not necessarily on the track, but as a dd?
I ask, because I have not seen anything written on this forum comparing owners experiences. Best
