Default Hello and first C3

Hello everyone! I'm now the proud owner of a 1975 Coupe! This is my third Vette (appropriate for a C3).

I still currently own a 2005 Coupe and had previously owned a 1994 Coupe.

Growing up in the 70's, the third generation is what I pictured in my head when someone said "Corvette". While my first Vette was a C4 and, which was traded in on a C6, I started thinking of picking up a second Vette a couple years ago. A local lot had this '75 (~83,400 miles) in good condition and I decided it would make a great driver.

Hi Dave,
VERY nice looking 75 in that photo!
I can certainly see why you're a "proud owner"!
The weather will soon be perfect for enjoying it, so I hope it gives you lots of pleasure!!!!

How about a few more photos?

I'll get more pictures once weather is better. It's supposed to turn bad here in Indiana for the next few days.

Thanks.

It's an L48 auto. Dark Red with saddle interior (vinyl).

It has about 83,400 miles, but a previous owner has did quite a bit of work fixing it up. It fires and runs pretty good. Brakes need some work.

I bought to use as a cruiser (my '05 is a manual), so the L48/Auto should work well -- although I'll probably do some mild modifications to it.

As much as I love my '05, there nothing better than that view of the fenders out front in the shark!

To tell the truth, a '75 wasn't my first choice--I was looking for a '73, but this one was very clean and solid. Since I got a good price, I decided to go with it.

That's a beautiful car! Paint looks terrific.

Can't wait for spring weather - I'm ready to hit the back roads in Indiana for some serious cruising

Dude, that is exactly my thinking as well. I'm a Mopar guy who took a break to get my first Corvette back in 2002, it was a '96 with an LT4. I drove it four years and loved nearly every minute...there was that snow storm but that was on me. Still until I own a C3 I won't feel that Corvette itch is scratched.

Your '75 looks sweet, good luck and enjoy the road.

Thanks for the comments. It'll be a little while until I take more pictures. There are a few things (such as a leaking brake caliper) that I need to fix and it decided to snow!
