Anyone Using These Wheels from OE Wheels LLC?
I am looking for a "cost effective" set of wheels for my car but I have larger calipers on the front. It seems most wheels that will clear big brakes come with a big price tag. Does anyone own a set/pair of these C7 Z replica wheels offered by OE Wheels LLC in 18x10.5?

I am looking for a measurement from the mounting surface to the inside of the spokes. When I call and ask they say they wont clear big brakes. I said I understand but I would like to know if I need just a 1/4" spacer or a 1" spacer. I don't want to run a big spacer. They just keep saying "they dont clear big brakes" and no one is willing to measure one for me. So if anyone out there has these and would be willing to get a measurement for me I would appreciate it!

Will they do a "buy and try" of a single if you pay the shipping? We've done that in the past and it was a "good move" because even though the wheel warehouse did dimensions they certainly didn't understand what they were doing. Where are these warehoused in relationship to your location?

Try Bob at House of Wheels. He is a Corvette Forum vendor. Got a set of wheels from him for my '16 Z06. Very happy with quality and service.

Since this is a "replica" and they stipulate that it won't fit "BIG BRAKES" you also need to confirm the barrel diameter all the way to the spokes. The easiest way to get dimensions that you can actually work with would be for whoever to take a straight edge the exact length of the barrel diameter, lay it across the wheel mounting pad and take a measurement every 1/2" from the mounting flange all the way to the barrel.

I did talk to Bob, and unfortunately the only thing he recommended was his OEM C5 Z06 wheels which are outside my budget at the moment.

Hey There,
I work at OE Wheels and wanted to take time to expand on the answer you received when calling in.
Most of our wheels are designed to give base model vehicles an upgraded look. That explains why they don't fit with upgraded performance brakes. Base models typically don't have performance brakes unless they are an aftermarket upgrade.
That being said, most of our wheels will fit vehicles with larger brake calipers WITH THE USE OF A SPACER. For liability reasons we cannot tell people to do that, however I will speak from experience and say that it can be done. I have a 2012 Camaro SS with factory Brembos. We received the new 2017 ZL1 Replica Wheels in around Christmas and had to have a set. http://www.oewheelsllc.com/CV25-2009...evrolet-Camaro I run those wheels with a 5/16 spacer in the front and no spacer needed for the rear wheels to clear. Again, we are not allowed to tell you to run with spacers, but I can speak only from my experience. It can be done and is done all of the time.
My suggestion is to order one wheel and do a test fit. As long as you don't mount a tire on the wheel it is returnable. I hope this helps! Trish

Thank you for your response! I actually called yesterday and asked about a buy and try like WVZR-1 suggested. I will be placing an order to try one in the next week or so. The Viper Brembos that I use actually have the same body as the Camaro Brembos you use. It is encouraging to know I may only need a small spacer.

Looks like you've lots of wheel stud and if you can do 10mm or less you might have 6mm or so for the hub bore to retain the hub concentric fit of the wheel to hub. If there's substantial 'taper' to the wheel hub center-bore then you'll lose that maybe!
What height do you have 'hub diameter to rotor' - with OE rotors I believe I've got 14mm so maybe 10mm is a stretch - the taper on the wheel center-bore of an a-mold is maybe 5mm. I don't believe I could do anything greater than 6mm.
I use a 16mm hub-centric pass-through and I can maintain the full depth of the hub diameter to wheel center-bore to maintain the hub-centric feature of any correct center-bore wheel. I don't believe it can be done with less than a 16mm spacer - 14mm would be a stretch. You could ask maybe a high quality jobber that does good work.

The spacers in there now are 2 5mm flat stacked up. There are companies that sell a 10mm hub centric to properly support the wheel. This wheel was hanging on the studs with the 10mm spacer so I need something hub centric for sure. I did not have any hub showing out of the spacers. I believe the aftermarket C6Z rotor I use has a little thicker hat.
As for the studs they are 3.25" ARP. I had thicker spacers in there at one time but I don't like the idea of thick spacers on a race car. I keep them in because they are strong.

Side note, I have tracked my car on OE Wheels before and they held up fine. one of the reasons I was looking at their wheels when I needed a set. They are a little bit heavier than OEM production or even aftermarket, but they get the job done and quality is still good.

Kubs, I test fit a set of their 18x10.5 rims up front and I cleared my aftermarket calipers fine with no spacer. My concern was the clearance I had to the swaybar and the backside of the wheel house going lock to lock with the wheel turned.
I returned them and went down to a 18x9.5 wheel.

I did see it is going to be close to the sway bar, but its a race car so I rarely go lock to lock. I will just have to be careful when moving around the pits.
