My ZR-1 filler panel project.
I started working on this a year ago,got burnt out on it and let it sit for awhile but I'm working on it again. After I get all the characters cut out I'll need to make a mold off of this and then make a few.

Nice, if possible try to make it out of ? but something softer than fiberglass, I have 1, made of fiberglass & it chips easier than the rest of the front of the car as that is a softer product

That came out great. Shoot, that might be worth risking the front lic plate ticket!!
As soon as I can get antique plates, this bad boy will be up front!
Very nice work, I love the recessed letters
Make mine red with black ZR-1 logo SOLD!!

How will yours differ? you have a side by side pic. I have one of the originals on my 91 but may be interested in one for the 93.
Edit: looks like the spacing and R may be a bit different?

Mine is the ZR-1 hood emblem exact only bigger. The original you have is the same as the primered one in the picture.

This looks like the 1 I have painted twice now, I guess not too bad for 8-10 years & 30-40 k miles

Ran into an obstacle,I put so much primer on this thing that it warped in a few spots so I have to start over😡. So now I'm looking for a new GM filler panel. Average price is about $100 so I'll wait a few days before I buy one if anybody sees any for less than $100 could you let me know? I've seen these for as little as $50.

Are you any good with fiberglass?
I made a mold of my original on my Z06. I wrapped the original in aluminum foil, and layed up 2 layers of fiberglass. I was able to still flex the mold to get it out. then I built off that. far from perfect, but if you calculate right, you can probably mold those letters into the front instead of cutting them out.
It is not perfect, and you can cut and sand to get you there. Just need a place to start.
