Any ideas for front camera for pre '15 Z
I installed a CF front spliter over the winter and would love to install a camera up front, I'm not interested on the Curb Alert!
I understand that I can't retrofit 16's, it won't work do to software or something , I'm just looking for a simple solution to a simple problem, I'm not tech savvy so that's an other issue on to itself :-(
Any input/ ideas are welcome, thanks guys!
BTW, I meant pre '16, my Z is a '15, lol

Why are you not interested in the Curb Alert? That's what I put on my '15 and while it's not perfect, it is exactly the "simple solution to a simple problem" that you're seeking.
If we knew why you ruled out the Curb Alert that might push us in the right direction as to what you do want...

Currently I own a 2016 Stingray Z51, 3LT with the front camera's. You cannot retrofit the OEM front camera setup on pre-2016.
Are there other after market setups, yes. I cannot speak to cost, nor how difficult or not installation is.

I had a front camera installed in my 2015 Z06....it wasn't cheap---guessing some $800 to $900 all in. If that rough price range is OK with you, respond and I will try to find the specifics tonight when the grandchildren leave. One of the those alarm/ sound installation shops did it for me---they had an excellent reputation. They did a great job.
I had the curb alerts on prior cars and liked them-----however, I always felt the curb alert could 'slip' and and face too downward ( and I wouldn't realize it until after I hit a curb), and I just feel more comfortable being able to see the curb, etc.

Check the Forum for the NavTool threads. I believe the cost is about $350 now, and a front camera will add $20. I have it, and it works great. it does just about what the factory camera does on the 16's and 17's, and even allows you to add phone mirroring if you want it.

Thanks, I'll look into it again, I seem to recal reading about it but it looked complicated, certainly above my pay grade

Take it to a stereo shop to have it installed. Many on the Forum have, and I don't believe the cost was prohibitive. I installed mine with the help of an excellent thread from Elmer Boggs (I believe I have his name correct). Do a search and you will find it. The most difficult part is getting the cables from the passenger foot well to the driver side. Patience helps. Mine has been operational for about one year. It does a great job. I wouldn't be without it.
