Default Burnt Orange and Cashmere Seat covers

I ordered seat covers and wanted something a little different. I had to keep the cashmere because I didn't want to get too far from the original color and all the rest of the interior already had cashmere. I had burnt orange inserts added. The quality is good but I'm still trying to get used to the color change. The center console cover is still being made with the same color combo. Though the pictures make the color look more orange than it really is, if I couldn't match the atomic orange of the outside, I wanted the seat color different enough so it didn't look like a bad match attempt. Any thoughts on the color combo?

Looks neat, but I had an immediate urge for a 50/50 bar...

Made me look for a creamsicle. I really like the solid Cashmere seats, but it really doesn't matter what I like. If you like it, it's perfect.

I like it, since you have the light colored interior it flows.

I see your armrest is missing, did you order the padded armrest cover too perhaps?

I ordered mine today, black / orange.

Do your seat covers install over the factory leather, or do you remove that first? Hows the material feel compared to the factory leather?

The console cover that I received was a flat piece of leather sewn together. I ordered more leather from the people that made the covers and I'm having a new padded console cover made locally. Should be done Friday. The covers are very good leather compared to the plastic coated factory stuff. Leather Seats.com made the covers. I replaced the foam in the drivers seat and added extra foam under the OEM stuff to get a better feel. All the foam was steamed to get it back to the normal size. I padded all the sharp edges of the frame to help the foam last longer. The automatic shifter boot was a pain to replace.

It is great to be able to achieve the look you want with just a few mods, and that makes it worthwhile.

BTW, Creamsicle is the newer name for 50/50 bar...somehow, "Creamsicle" does not sound all that appealing, but I know they are great.

You said the color is more orange in the pictures. How close is it to the actual paint color? I have an atomic orange car with an ebony interior, and I'm considering getting black seats with the burnt orange centers. It may be more obvious, if it doesn't match, than with the cashmere.

I'm gonna be the lone wolf and say I don't care for them. Not my style. But it looks like you did a good job. Hey nobody can please everyone right? If you like them that is all that matters.

I like it and have a bit of interest in this as well, but to give an opinion, id need to see a view with more of the car, zoom out a bit. Im all blk inside except for the orange armrest pad i installed.

Please post back when its all done!

Leather Seats.com did the leather work. I installed the covers and made a few improvements in the seat foam. Cost was just under $1K.
I know, Why do we fix things that ain't broke? Still waiting on the custom made padded console cover being fabbed by a local shop. I did buy the console cover as part of the set but I did not like the one they sent so I ordered more material and I'm having the console cover built like I want. Pictured is a store bought console cover with atomic orange. That is coming out and the new burnt orange in the exact same style will replace it. The new cashmere color "sandstone" is an exact C6 color match. Another vendor had colors like light beige or light oak, but those colors seemed to match the C5 factory color.
You can see the choices that I had in colors. I did not want too much atomic orange on the inside, got enough on the outside already.
