I agree with you on the hard to change the wheels bit.
I read a post on this section once that said the chrome wheels look dated because black is the new chrome and all that jazz.
Our 5 spoke chrome wheels take literally seconds to clean, and now very heavy considering they are chromed. Many aftermarket wheels weigh more.
I'm a big fan of reducing unsprung weight in vehicles, certainly would not want to replace them with anything that weighs more.
You will find a whole new love for your car with a better sounding exhaust on it.

The factory wheels on the yellow C6 look the best. Screw the black hack. Will never understand why guys think drab, black wheels improve the looks of a C6. I have yet to see ANY aftermarket wheel that looked better to me than the factory chrome or polished wheel.

Yes, very nice, the yellow really stands out! How do you improve on the appearance of that car?

resist the urge. After market wheels will look dated at some point, you'll have to store your OEM's when you sell, because what you like your buyer may not. That said, spend the money on cat back and CAI and a tune. It's all personal opinion, but I certainly don't want to see a beautiful 67 Vette with some after market wheels on it.

Congratulations on your purchase. I changed the look of my LS2 Coupe when put on some after market wheels and I never looked back. As far as modifications I would consider changing out the factory intake manifold for a aftermarket one like a FAST or MSD. Good luck on your modifications choice as there are a lot of options.

Wow, those wheels look great on your car. I'm not always a fan of aftermarket wheels, but those are awesome on your car.
