Default My first Corvette

Greetings,

Long time dreamer, new member and first post. Like many others, I've been looking at different Vettes for awhile/forever. Finally decided to go for it. My son suggested a Z06 or nothing. What a good son I have!
Found a silver 08 Z06 with 32k miles. As you current C6 Z06 owners know, wow! What a blast to drive. I'm sitting on the porch, drinking my beverage, looking at my dream car, and basking in the glow. Like a kid, I can't wait until tomorrow to go drive again. This is great stuff.

I'll post some better pics as we go along.

Bonus - found the Mild to Wild switch nicely mounted at the top of the left foot rest

Awesome, congrats! That's a really nice looking Z. I love the painted wheels on the silver Zs. I am a recent first time Vette owner too (Z06) and I'm almost positive this car was on my short list but I could never get the seller to respond to my (many!) voicemails and emails.

That car was in VA, correct?

Congrats, nice color. Hopefully your front license plate frame is just mounted with the double-back tape.

Ouch, I just noticed that.... Looks to be drilled, bolted...
Still a gorgeous Z.... My front LP bracket has the double back tape...

Congratulations on the 'new' ride! I'm confident you're going to love the power/torque this car produces down low. That, coupled with the way the suspension and lack of weight work together to balance the feel, make this the most fun car I've personally ever driven. I sometimes find excuses to run errands just to drive it! Have fun!

Congrats, and welcome to the party! That's called the "old school" M2W switch...I run the same one.

Congratulations! I can relate to a dream come true. I've always wanted one since I saw a picture of my dad's 63 split window that he had to sell due to my mom becoming pregnant with me....I guess that is not too great of a story. LOL

Thanks! We have Tx crap laws with cheap dealer solutions... Unfortunately, I can't have everything perfect. But the price was right and I don't notice it as I'm rolling.
