Default 1993 turn signal lever removal

I need to take my turn signal lever out of its socket. I see posts that say just pull it out but when i apply the amount of force that seems to be just on the verge of breaking something, it doesn't budge, actually it moved a little bit but then stops.

Before I break something, I would like someone who has done this before to confirm that I just need to pull harder.

Thanks

This is where the FSM is invaluable (not breaking something). I believe they just push in but don't take that as fact. If nothing else, see what a replacement looks like, but definitely get a FSM.

Agreed. i just try to avoid owning things that just take up space for most of their lives. (I'll avoid the divorce comment that comes to mind.)

Speaking of shop manuals, I could use a blow up of the things that go on the column. I knew how they went the day I took them off but as this thing drags on, I'm not so sure what went on first.

The stalk will just pull out. It has a short (2 to 3inch) cable that connects to a another connector that sends the Cruise Control functions down the column. The connection is inside that little box just behind the stalk.

Thanks, I'll muscle it out. Now does anyone have the blow up of the stuff between the column and the airbag?

I have no idea whether they changed anything in the steering column in those years. My best coin flip guess would be 94 is close. There's really just a ring or washer I'm not completely sure about. Posting would be much appreciated.

Thank you for doing that but the part I need is just the column from the yoke in your pictures to the airbag.

Did I miss the sections you need or did I provide more than what you needed? I'm ok if I provided more...if I missed what you need please let me know.

If you could post the steering wheel and air bag, it would probably be covered. Thanks.
