Default WHAT WHEELS DO iHAVE HERE???

I bought these wheels off Ebay for the back of my 57 for wider tires.
They are 6"x15" and supposed to be off of a 1970's olds. Everyone said that I needed mid 70s GM wheels for this application and would have to weld nubs on the wheels to hold the full wheel covers.

However, they don't fit. These wheel measure 3" center to center from one lug hole to an adjacent one and the original wheels are 2 3/4".
There are no brand markings on the wheels that I bought so I don't know it the guy really knew what he had or what these came off of?

Mid to late 70's Impalas used a larger hub that resulted in a diffreant lug pattern. The steel wheels looks like any other steel wheels from the era

The seller di not say anything other than they were from a 70 Olds. So I guess you are saying these most likely are from a full size Olds and would be the same as a late 70s Impala?

So I guess I need to find a pair of 70s 6"x15" Malibu, Cutlass, LeMans or Skylark?

Not sure there is such a thing. Those mid-size cars had 14" wheels.

If that is the case, what kind of wheels should I be looking for to give me 6"x15" for the rear of my 57?

The only 15" wheels that came on A-Body's were option 15x7 rally wheels. The standard steel wheels for use with wheel covers, were 14x6.

I have a set of 15x6 steel wheels on my 62, that I think were 68-72 full size Chevrolet. I bought them new out of my Chevy dealer, 30-35 years ago. I do remember that I had to enlarge the center hole of the front wheels, to clear the large front wheel hubs on the 62.

If my memory is still functioning properly, I think the full size Chevy's switched to the larger bolt pattern Buick-Pontiac-Olds wheels in 73.

Not true GB I have a set of 15x6 steel wheels from a 77 Maibu on my Chevelle. A body's of the era used them.

The larger GM cars of the '70's used the 5 on 5 bolt pattern (just like a full-sized truck or van) while the smaller passenger cars continued to use the 4 3/4 on 5 bolt pattern.

Does anyone here have a pair of 6"x15" wheels from a vehicle as indicated above they would like to sell?

I would post in the classified section as WTB but would expect limited results since these are not really Corvette items.
