Too keep the stripes or take them off?
OK CF peeps. I have a decision to make and I'm torn. Car on top, (no stripes and wheel spacers) not mine, car on bottom (stripes and no wheel spacers) is mine. I am not going to get rims anytime soon so I will get spacers to make it look like the car on the top. Now what I am torn on, too keep the stripes or to peal them off.
***EDIT***
Both cars are Centennial GS

There 'subtle' alright ... however, you can't even tell the car has stripes until your right up next to the car.
Keep um, or remove them .... good question ... I don't have an answer.
Only the owner can answer this question

You know, GM could have made these stripes just slightly lighter in color (slightly grayish black) and I think that would have been the ticket here ... oh well

I think those flat black stripes would really look nice on a Supersonic Blue car.
Hard to picture it in my mind, but that's what I am thinking

Keep the stripes, and really research the idea of wheel spacers. They are not all that great of an idea.

If you are going to do a paint correction on the car, now is the time to remove the stripes.
Your flat stripes are subtle and not bad at all currently, but for the future headache if you can remove them now before they break down it will save you a lot of time and a major headache. Most stripe owners have no idea what they are in for in the future.
All Vinyl stripes will fade, and crack in time, no matter how well you take care of the car. It dries out, and any time spent in the sun accelerates the deterioration of the vinyl.
I bought my Gf a mustang for dirt cheap because the previous owner didn't understand how to wax a car. The vinyl stripes went bad, and it left me with a very sticky mess to deal with. This isn't a corvette, but this is a before and after of the nightmare.
If your stripes are still able to be peeled off using a heat gun or the sun, in 1 big strip without leaving all the glue behind.. do it while you still can. The eraser wheels I had to use to remove these old stripes and glue left burn lines in the paint which required a heck of a lot more corrective action than it should have.

Leave them on. It's no longer a Centennial if you take them off.
