Fair price to ask for my Z?
Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, if not, Mods please move.
Just toying with the idea of selling. 2004 MY Z with ~65K miles. I won't go into salesman mode here, but it's mostly stock with some add ons, the biggest being LT headers.
The market seems to be all over the place right now, but I am thinking 19-20K? Am I close or way off base?
Thoughts and/or constructive criticism always welcome.

Located in Va. and no carfax issues. Multiple owners, but she checked out in good shape. I changed all fluids when I bought it and got the once over by a good local builder. Valve springs have been changed.

Shakey,
I sold my '04 Z three weeks ago, with a pinch over 12k miles, for $26k. I thought it was a fair deal on both ends. I think $19k-$20k is too low. You have a beautiful car, (love the wheels) so start high and settle in the middle. Good luck.

The value is there but that's not the deal ,finding someone that understands the value is the key in selling the Z ( nice ride ) its a small market . You have to put it in front of people that are looking for a Corvette $19-20 fair price it does have 65,000 miles people will be looking for lower miles C-5s this may hurt the price a little may be a little harder to sell .I know and you know great Corvette even at the mileage but trying to tell someone that may be hard to do got to find people that know what they are looking at.. Good luck .

I'd start out asking in the $22K range and see what happens. The numbers you mention may be a final selling price, but you never know - you may be able to get more than you think for the car.

You have a solid car, I would say at least $22k, but it isn't my car or my money. With a lot of recent hype about C5Z's being the investment type, your is a sweet spot between something to enjoy and something to hold on to.
A guy down the street was polishing his C4 (34k miles on a '96) and mentioned he wished he had bought something a little less nice so he would enjoy it more.

Not even positive I'm going to sell. But if I do, I'd be in no real hurry. But once I make up my mind, I probably won't want to sit on it for another six months either.
Looking on Autotrader for a 100 mile radius from me, there are only 7 2002-2004 Z06s listed. That might bode well for me.

yeah...I was gonna say you are considering a low price to start....I would start out like others have suggested....22k or higher and come down for the buyer. Don't sell your Z short!

You can literally ask whatever you want. The pricing spread on C5's the largest of any car produced.
I would suggest you ask $2k above what you want to sell it for, and I would recommend an asking price of $21-23k for your car. No less.

I am sure you have posted them but would love to see the shape of int. and engine bay, wheels etc.
But given I think your a solid owner I am going to assume everything it just about tip top for year and mileage.
i would start as other have mentioned with 21-22k and just give it time.
Your in a wonderful location with the Military people looking to spend on a dream car.
if you do decide to sell do yourself and everyone else a favor by taking nice pics with a real camera.
Then a great write up with everything that was done including all maint.
Give a nice accurate rating to int and ext.
and just be patient....someone is always watching.
Try not to start too high. as the mileage is low for the year but not for sports car. GLWS and would love to know its replacement also.
