Hi P,
This dolly is pretty easy to make and suitable for storing the body on.
It supports the body at the 8 body mount locations and the core-support.
1 morning's work, wheels from Harbor Freight.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan. I've been searching and researching for awhile and have saved your plans. I think there one of the best for my needs and I can roll it up onto four post life and work on it if I need to. For the uprights I see you used 2x4, Would 4x4 work also? I don't see why not and it would give me extra meat for support and to lag in the body mounts.

Hi P,
I'm unsure if a 4x4 will fit up into the rocker channel for mounts 1, 2, and 3. Maybe?
I didn't ever feel that the uprights were unstable or under-sized.
The dimensions for locating the uprights front to back and side to side are based on trying to get the upright centered under the bolt holes in the body.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan, glad I checked with you. Guess if I build this one I'll stick with your original plans.

How long are you expecting to have the body off the chassis? I'm going to use a 69 rolling chassis for my body dolly while I work on my 72 racing chassis. Can't get much better than an original donor!
I'm in Easton, PA, on the border of NJ/PA; where in NY you located?
Best regards,
