I'm of the ole "C3/carburated engine/do my own work/wouldn't trust a commercial mechanic to go within 100 feet of my car" breed but the local Memphis Corvette club has a webpage of recommended mechanic contacts. Might be helpful:

http://www.corvettememphis.org/repairshops.htm

Personally I wouldn't trust ANYONE in Memphis to work on a C5 or C6. Memphis is an old school low-tech muscle car town, you might find a few people that tuned a Honda or two.

That corvetteforum page that someone referenced recommended "tuners" in Knoxville! Yikes, does anyone realize how far that is away from Memphis? Mine as well recommend a mechanic in Dallas.

Knox is 6 hours away and Dallas is 7... Depends on who you gonna trust...

Default Tuners

Try SFS PERFORMANCE PARTS,901-324-9606, 1257 Getwell Rd. If they can't do it they might know of someone who can. They install everthing they sell and build engines and tranny's. I haven't used them but it's worth a shot.

With all due respect, just because someone has a dyno doesn't mean they can tune. Lots of people have made this mistake. It cost about the same so why not fine someone that really knows what their doing.

I'm Josh Elam with Xtreme Auto that someone a few posts above spoke of. Xtreme Auto is located 1.5 miles west of Wolfchase Mall at 7555 Highway 64. Feel free to come by and talk to me and check out our shop. I have been tuning for over 5 years with 2.5 years of HP Tuners experiance. You guys are right that just because someone owns a dyno definitely doesn't mean they can tune. Keep that in mind when you are deciding on your shop and tuner. We specialize in Lsx motors, Viper V10, Hemi and Srt-8 motors. The most recent trend at out shop is install LSx based motors in older Camaros, El Caminos, and Impalas. Also give me a call 901-377-0027.
