Default Corvette Expo Knoxville

This fall 'Corvette expo' in Knoxville is offering on site parking with entry for 2 to all those driving their Vettes to the event next month. The cost is $10 per car. Details are on http://www.etcorvette.com/ or Contact Ronnie Cooper for details. Expo's web site is http://www.corvetteexpo.com/, but you need to contact Ronnie at the gate or preferably in advance. He would really like to accomodate clubs that are caravanning in. Just get someone to call them @ 865-687-8303
Parking will be inside a gated area near the used parts vendor area {tunnel area}. I think regular cost for the event is $10 Per Person per day without parking. I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this for everyone's information...

I'm sorry you feel that way.
Those that do attend might like the information. Those that wish to attend need only ignore the information, rather than act like a child.

I too am providing good information. The Corvette Expo name lends itself to think that there will be mostly Corvettes there. However in the last 5 years it has seen a definate drop in vendors, cars and people. This event is on the way out because the organizers have done a poor job in marketing the event and getting vendors to come. The auction is now a joke of an event put on by a couple of good ole boy estate auctioneers that couldn't tell you the difference between a Chevette and a Corvette. This is a open forum anyone can post any comment they like this does not make me a child. I don't see you as a supporting member or vendor so if a moderator could please delete this thread as it is advertising for a person to or group to make a profit off of advertising on the forum. Thanks.

No, you are not allowed to post any comment you wish. Perhaps you need to reread the forum rules.

And Phanni is not advertising for Corvette Expo, he is providing information.

I appreciate your viewpoint, and I happen to agree with you about the expo.

Lets try to keep this discussion on topic.

That's your opinion. Thank you for sharing.

I'll only add that the Expo is the BEST corvette event in the area. It's well worth the price of admission.

Is the $10 deal for East TN Corvette members only? Looking at the website it appears so.

It is for anyone driving their Vette. Just go to the main entrance and mention the corvette parking. It is requested that no for sale signs be displayed as they charge extra for the sales lot parking.

The big advantage I see is for those that buy stuff, it'll be an easy walk back to the car so you don't have to carry the stuff around.

I just posted the details on the club web site because Corvette Expo is a big supporter of the local club. They would like to welcome carvans from nearby clubs, but it's for all that want to park their Vettes in a protected area.

I posted it here for the same reason, they support us, the club supports them..

All of the above replies are true. Yes, it's the best in the area. Yes, the organizers are great people. Yes, it's fallen off fast in the last couple of years. But, if you go to the Corvettes at Carlisle thread, you will find people who don't like that event so go figure..

I will have to agree that maybe the expo is getting lamer every year , with more and more non vettes participating in the show and auction , but it is still a fun event for a day . I hope they keep it going .
I don't ever miss it . if nothing else finding that small part you needed for your car in the used parts yard is worth the trip and the admission fee .
hope weather cooperates

FYI for those of us who are bad with dates -- the Expo is this coming week/weekend, Thursday - Saturday. 9AM - 6PM each day.
