Default Car wash

You'll be coming down 331 & taking a right onto 98. There's a car wash on the left run by a guy that owns a Velocity Mod C6. He will be glad to see you all. If he runs out of water, call me. haha! 850.217.8938

Update on "Beachy Clean" Car Wash
5700 block US 98

Hrs Fri is 9-5. Call if extended time is needed.
Usual charge $20.00 hand wash
Corvettes for this event is $15.00 he says
His # is (850) 622-0737 (Ron is the T/A owner & C6 owner)

The red tide is still bad, at least in the bay. The water at the boat ramp was literally red. It's the worst I've seen. I didn't make it out to the gulf as the wind shifted east and churned up the bay pretty bad.

Don't let this keep you from coming out. It's supposed to rain again Monday and Tuesday. Saturday is still forecast to be sunny and in the 70's.

Exactly,

This is not a boating event, although "original" Corvettes did have something to do with water.

Man I remember coming north through central Fl one year after leaving Naples. Them things totally clogged the front end, condensor & windshield. Had to pull off the road to clear things up. Unbelievable!

A few dropped in with some heavy winds out of Tampa some weeks ago. They didn't like the neighborhod and left within a week. The coast is clear on that. Now if we can just send the sharks on their way, the jellyfish, smooth out the rip-tide and get rid of the red-tide, we'll be back in business. Actually, it's all a limited production. Most of the time it's paradise as advertised.

I'll be there again this year with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Corvette club in tow!
Looking forward to a COOLER event this year in more ways than one.
Great to see the info on the car wash as well as the off-site hotel discount offer. Good many of us are staying at the Extended Stay down on hwy 98 for the same rate. They usually set a hose up for us on the side parking lot so we can rinse off the Vettes the day of the show.

See you guys there!

For traffic coming from Pensacola, you would pass up Sandestin and 30A. Then eyes right for the car wash if needed. Again, note the hours & ph # for the handwash.

We finally got 2 inches of rain overnight, now we are only running a 20" deficit. Still drought conditions. Need about a week of rain. We will definitely check out the car wash Friday afternoon after we get registered at the hotel...

RainJ from Biloxi, home of the BeaRivage, the nicest Casino this side of Vegas.

Actually, I lived in Biloxi; twice! Dad was USAF and got transferred back & forth. Had a paper route there and remember running over tons of frogs in the streets at night with my bicycle. This was before Camille.
Haven't seen a frog since.

Welcome back to Destin. We go back & forth too.

The forecast calls for mostly sunny and mid 70's. It should be a great day. It's been raining since Sunday evening so hopefully it will be all done and dry by Saturday.

C5 it is Last year we were parked right in front of the Hotel in the grass, very nice. This year I don't think I could make it down there. I sit extremely low 1 7/8" clearance but may change wheels and tires for the trip. Look me up, GA plate GR84FUN my parents and sister live in Ft. Walton. I'm kinda local

I was just getting ready to change my mind but you have settled it.

Reason?

The weather today is..... Corvette Perfect -
Sunny - w/occasional flip flop to rare clouds
upper 70's
some wind

I anticipate the same for SAT (Vert weather)
but to (CYA) I'll let the forecasters forecast that one

Bring something more than a t-shirt for the mornings and evenings. This is FL yes, but it's NW FL.
Tact, if you come, bring at least a t-shirt.
