Orlando/Central Florida area vettes down for a night of twisties?
Wednesday night at the Central Florida Road Course
The Full course is open Wednesday night, Starts at 7 and runs till midnight. $25 all you can run. You need a helmet, but that's the only safety equipment necessary.
It's just east of the airport
201 Parcel Ln
Orlando, FL 32824
Anyone interested?

i can't make this one, but keep us posted on the next one.. didn't know about this course, but looks like it would be worth the drive from tampa for a little fun..
is it run like an autocross? how long is it? can't tell width/length from the photo.. is it just paint and cones to keep you on course?

Not sure of the format. I assume it is run much like autox, although they do also use a crooked drags format on friday nights too. I recall reading that the complete road course is a mile long. For scale, you can see a person with a white shirt on, in the bottom left of the picture above. It appears that the course is made of paint and cones.
Heres a link for the track:

Its all a matter of organization. Probably be worth contacting the local Viper clubs too

has anyone been to this track before?
If you controlled the format of the track for a day, what would you be interested in doing?
-Full Road course?
-1/8 mile straight line?
-crooked drags?
-drifting?
-advanced driving exercises (wet/dry/no abs/no traction control/skid pad/etc....)?
short oval?

Looks amusing. I just finished a body off C4 suspension transplant on my '69, and am looking to do some track time at moderate speeds initially to see what needs adjusting or reworking. I'd like to see some feedback from guys who spend some time there.

I am soooo glad you posted this...I heard about it at OSW two weeks ago but could not find any info on it...I am only interested in the drag strip portion...I drag race an old school 81 Camaro and will have a fresh 396 installed by next wednsday...I need the timing system installed at this track to tune my car properly so I probably won't bring my car out till they install the tree, etc....at that point I know of at least four vettes who would come out to drag race...
I race in teh Summit Points series at Orlando...I raced my 93 vette for 6 years until this year...I would be happy to come out and give any newbies a quick course on drag racing so they won't feel uncomfortable...
