I stopped in there today. They are not open yet but they are expecting to open next month. I think they are still moving cars in. They let me in to take some pictures. I was the only guy in there. It was just amazing. He has a 69 ZL1 Corvette which may have started life as an L88. It was featured in Vette magazine a few years ago. Also, a 63 Gran Sport and a 2002 ZL1 Camaro which is one of 69 built. I was snapping pictures as fast as I could.
When they open, they will be charging $10 which will be well worth it. It is located on 41 just north of Jones Loop/Burnt Store Rd.

Do I see a Corvette Caravan to this place once it opens up and add to the number of cars being shown?

Anyone willing to coordinate?

Here's the latest.
They are hoping to open around February 15.

The Skyway Corvette Club in Sarasota is tentatively planning a caravan to the museum on February 21 or 22.
PM me for details if you'd like to join us.

I have seen pictures of this person's car collection and it is outstanding. He also has other classic models and years (Camaro's Chevelle's etc) and all are in excellent condition. The pictures I saw did not do the displays justice but my friend, who was invited by one of his friends, could not stop talking about his visit there.
Corvettes on the Gulf vette club, of which I am a member, is trying to arrange a visit. If this comes about I will try to post pictures.

It's not open to the public yet, and its still kind of unknown to others at this point...
I want to find out what the deal is, because with myself being a corvette buff and college student it would be the perfect job for me! Heck I could even show off my car at work, would life get any better? Please give me some references incase the person happens to be on the boards!
This Museum opens to the Public on Feb 16th, 2009.I looked the widows on Saturday and will be there on the 16th, 220 Cars!
