April 23-26 Asheville, NC fun trip.

Whichever way you guys want to go is fine with me....
The majority of both of those routes are just normal highways with the exception of US64 through Pisgah Forest and the parkway. It all just depends on what kind of driving you want to do. Personally, I wouldn't drive all the way to Asheville from IN and FL without hitting up the Dragon or Skyway.

Modification
After some Pm's I have modified it a bit. We will figure out a lunch stop somewhere on this route.
After some research, I figured we could start by taking the loupe counter clockwise, so we would end up near Brevard for lunch. That is where I found the most restaurants.
It is only 2-3 miles off 64, just passed Looking Glass Falls. There are Steakhouses, Delis, Seafood, etc... Plenty to choose from. Locals, is this a good lunch stop?? or Hendersonville. Also has plenty of restaurants.

March visit to NC
Hey gang,
Paul's business trip to Commerce, GA is tentatively marked for March 2.
So we will drive over to Biltmore area and check out the drive that we agree on, and some of the restaurants. I would love to meet up with 1truL48, JPBabyRange and Ledfoot88 and anyone else who would like to get together either for lunch, dinner, or just to say "Hi". I think the Village area would be a good place to meet and have a meal. Let me know who wants to meet up with us and what your schedule will allow. Looking forward to meeting you guys, especially all of you who have been so great at giving us suggestions and great ideas!!!! Mea

I could possibly meet you on Sunday afternoon, but I'd have a hard time getting away on Monday the 2nd.

Ok, I could reverse our schedule and leave Feb 27th Friday to Asheville and be there Sat & Sun, then head South to Commerce, GA.
Yes, we would love to meet up with you Sunday at your convenience!
Anyone else want to get together over the weekend? Mea

You guys just set a time and place and I'll try to get there. Lots of great restaurants around Biltmore Village to pick from. We're pregnant with our first (due April 8th) so it all depends on how my wife feels!

I would enjoy meeting up with you all Saturday. I might not be able to make it on Sunday but if that is what works for everyone else, there is a small chance I could make it.

We could certainly meet you and anyone else that has Saturday open, and meet others on Sunday if that is more convenient for them.

In case the BRP is closed due to snow, or this route is preferred by everyone, here is another option or the back-up plan.
Total 92 miles, faster roads, less traffic. Thanks 1truL48 for the suggestion!
When we go up to take these drives next weekend to see what route/roads would be for great driving, we will put our heads together with you all to determine the actual route. Thanks! Mea

Drifting
MrsCyberZo6, I noticed that we are neighbors this week. We live in Mooresville, NC. My wife and I are visiting her sister in Brooksville, Florida this week. She lives in Brookridge. Since she has MS, we try to come down once in awhile to help her out.
We are holding the 4/23-4/26 dates open and will try to make the trip.
By the way, in 1truL48 you have a man who knows the NC mountain roads like the back of his hands. He has led our Metrolina Corvette Club on some terrific runs in this area. Hopefully Brian and Teresa will be able to make this trip. Norm

Norm,
Brooksville is just a short drive for us, if you like we or I can meet up with you! Just let me know when and where is convenient for you guys. I also sent you an email.
I am counting on Brian and wife to make the drive and lunch. I will also plan on meeting him next Sunday when we go up to run on some of these great roads! Mea

Norm,
It was a pleasure meeting you two and your cute puppy this beautiful day in Spring Hill! I would have to say you might need to buy an XLR for your wife, the two of you look good in it! Have a safe drive back up North tomorrow.
We will see you guys in April in your neck of the woods!
