North Carolina. question about titling/registering a car with an out of state title
As a resident of North Carolina when you buy a car from out of state how does the titling process work ? If its an in state purchase the title is required to be notarized but how does having the title notarized work if the car was purchased out of state ? Does that eliminate the need to have the title notarized since the seller was out of state when you go to title and register the car ?

Exactly. It must be notarized in the state of origin by a notary from that state...Unless it's an old car(like 75 back) They just made a new screwy law in NC on old cars from out of state designed to discourage folks from bringing old cars into NC...***** in Raliegh
