Vette Fest - Old Town, Kissimmee FL
Does anyone know the 2011 date for the Vette Fest in Old Town in Kissimmee,FL? I have tried a number of times to contact Old Town management and they still don't have any info. Emails through their web site don't get any response. What club puts this show on? It's usually in October, and I'm trying to plan a vacation around this event. Thanks.

Show is from 10am to 3pm. There is no registration fee. It's a free show, no judging or trophies. Come and display your car and walk around and see the other vettes.

Well, it appears you were indeed correct. First, weather was perfect. They did not let you park until 10AM so everyone formed a line down the side street. Then it took about 45 minutes to file in since they had one lady taking everyone's name and year. Guess they could not get a few of the people handing out flyiers to help her move the long line along?
Not as many cars as past years even though the weather was perfect. They also had everyone park on the west side lot instead of the east side lot where they have the stage setup for music. So the band setup around noon and there was no one there to really listen to them?!?!? They had no beverage vendors setup as in prior years offering beverages right in the lot. Guess I should have brought my own cooler like a lot of folks did. No parts/accessories vendors so after a couple hours I left.
Quite a few unusual cars present, some of which make me want to barf. I wish the people with the stupid dolls would just leave them home. Not as many cars for sale as I expected, but given the piddly turnout I guess I should not be surprised.
Some nice Stingrays, but the C5 & C6 dominated the show as expected. Almost about the same number of C3 and C4's - not a lot.
Overall, very disappointing, but better than being beat by a stick I guess. If I would have driven hours I might have been really pissed. A lot of people from clubs around Florida and a few from out-of-state.

I went and was pleased to get at least what I paid for ($0.00 entry fee). Was not a place to show a concours C1, but there were lots of nice stock and modified street drivers. Was fine for local folks like me to spend a casual Saturday.
