Alright I'm Effin pissed! So on our way home from Florida on Monday night we are the victims of hit and run! Lilly our dog was sick when we went down for Christmas we left her with our Vet thinking that she wasn't too sick and should be totally well by our Jan 4th when we were supposed to return. Well she ends up needing emergency surgery and we decided to return early. I really wanted to come back Sunday, but knew that the traffic would be hell so we wait until Monday figuring that would be better. About 1.5 hours from home on I-26 as we were passing 2 vehicles the one behind the other turns into our right front fender sending us immediately into the cable barriers where we go under 1 and over the other 2. It was all I could do to keep us from sliding into the oncoming traffic on the other side. If that had been the case there would have been little hope for survival, not to mention other injuries and/or fatalities. So it was dark and raining and I had no warning this was about to happen so the only description I can give the cop is some kind of 4 door sedan. Maybe a KIA or Saturn, hell I don't know. Neither he or the truck he was trying to pass stops. In fact no one stopped, called 911 or offered/made any other help whatsoever. So now my GS is fubarred and I am going to loose my *** with my own insurance company. I went over to my agents office in hopes of some kind of help or consideration and am told abruptly that "at best" all they will do is actual cash value. Oh and don't forget Mr. Thomas that you have a $500.00 deductible. And you can go get a rental car, but if they deny the claim you will be responsible for that and that's after the car rental place threatens you if you don't pay for the "extra" insurance that if their vehicle gets damaged you have to pay the lost revenue while their car is down even if it isn't your fault. Livid just quite say it!!!! So unfortunately we won't make c&c this Saturday like we wanted to.

Is the car totalled? How can the ins. co. deny your claim?

Also, glad dog is ok now.
.If they don't total it I'll be amazed. The mechanical damage alone will probably total it. And they sure aren't going to want to cover all the blower components or the carbon fiber hood. As far as denying the claim I'm not going to get into that right now. I don't want to jinx myself. I'll tell you about what happened about that after this deal gets done. My best guess right now is they will pay off the loan and it will be up to me to get another car which is going to be almost impossible right after paying for our daughters wedding. I don't expect them to give us anything above and beyond that. Right now there aren't any incentives that I'm aware of. And many of the Z06's are priced over MSRP. Not that we could afford one anyway. I'm going to wait until Friday to call it in to give me some time to look it over better and see what, if any, options we may have.
