Hey Lee, Sorry I didn't see this until now. Yes they replaced the diff for a whining noise and torque converter for a shudder at hwy speeds. I just trust the Corvette techs at City for the more involved repairs and updates. It also had a seat a/c and a perf timer improvement upload that they did at the same time. The darn converter was almost impossible to find. There is a replacement part number for the problem, but no one has any in stock yet. It looks like it's going to be a common issue with many cars. As for the diff they had some leave the factory either under filled or no fluid in them at all. GM just says to r&r the entire unit and they are sending them back to ZF. Checking the diff fluid isn't part of the dealer PDI so they weren't finding out about them until most have got a few miles on them. I'm at 23K right now.

Glad they are taking care of you.....I too wouldn't trust anyone else but Robert. He's an angel sent from heaven to work on corvettes.

Welcome to the Charlotte area. You'll find the gamete of folks here who want to drive fast, talk fast and drink fast. All in all - a typical Corvette crowd.

Thanks, I'm already finding some pretty twisty/fast roads in my pickup truck and can't wait till I get my vette on them. Apparently I'm about 30-45 minutes from the blue ridge parkway

Welcome to the area, I'm just south of Winston-Salem.

PM me for info about Country Corvettes if you don't know about them yet.

Great - a new drag race from Rednecklenburg County on I-85. The exit ramp at 22 is short so make sure you C7 owners have throttled down at least to 3rd gear before you find yourself at the light. Turn right and right again onto Indian Walk.

And allow me some room - I'm bringing the battleship.

At the very same time - there is a Lake Norman Cars and Coffee in Mooresville - in front of the Hobby Lobby and I-77. There where about 100 cars there this past weekend. A smaller crowd - but plenty of parking spaces and you don't have to worry about finding a spot!

There is also a Cars and Coffee in Charlotte. It has moved around a bit, it was at North Lake Mall when I first started going, then it moved to Uptown by NC Music Factory. Now it's in South East Charlotte near Matthews on Monroe between Sardis North and Rt 51 (Pineville-Matthews). The variety of cars is excellent. It's sponsored by Foreign Cars Charlotte, so lots of late model exotica, the usual classics, hot rods, and muscle cars, but also a strong showing by the younger import set, so everything from Aston's to Z's

Looks like I'm going in to see them first thing in the am. A/C no work.
This should be fun. I'm supposed to have my car at the Ga. Aquarium tomorrow night for display at the FireAde gala. And I'm running in the Optima event at NOLA next weekend.

Ended up having a pretty good weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. Got my Optima Ultimate Street Car invitational invite. Looking forward to SEMA and the OUSCI the following weekend.
