VIR Charity Laps Friday, November 12th
Join us Friday, November 12 as we host our Charity laps to benefit Victory Junction, a camp for chronically ill children started by NASCAR’s Petty family. Pay just $25 for the opportunity to drive your own car on our 3.27 mile Full Course for 15 to 20 minutes.
All proceeds will go to Victory Junction, a nonprofit with the mission to enrich the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment, at no cost to the campers and their families. Victory Junction, located in Randleman, N.C., is built on 84 acres donated by racing royalty, Richard and Lynda Petty. In 2000, their son, Kyle Petty, a fixture on the NASCAR circuit for over 28 years, partnered with actor and race car driver Paul Newman to launch Victory Junction.

Hey Martin how ya been...long time...
You been to these charity laps lately?
How many cars on track at a time? Is there a decent spread?
Is it real crowded or ya think if I wanted to I could get 3-4 sessions in?
Thanks...

Mike, I haven't been in 2-3 years so I don't know how this has evolved or changed. I was always able to get 3-5 sessions in the past. My experience is that it's best to get there around 11, get one session in, then eat lunch and get 2-3 more in the afternoon. There were also shorter wait times and fewer cars in each run group in the afternoon.

to PB82 Ronin, I saw a post dated 11/29/2022 with a picture of your C7 Grand Sport, Watkins Glen Gray Metallic, chrome wheels, etc. What caught my eye was the red tow hook in the front grill. Do you still own the car or trade it in?
I bought a used C7 from Fred Anderson's in May 23 and it had the red tow hooks installed in front and back. I've also seen other C7's around town with the tow hooks installed. I understand its a "accessorizing" thing.
Any chance I have your car? If so, any chance your have the original air induction parts that were changed out for the Vari cold air induction system?
Regarding your statement that the car was not reliable for a trip to VIR, so far it has been running well. A third party pre-purchase inspection was done and nothing significant was noted. So far so good in the months I have had it. Everything seems to be working as designed.
I hope you replaced it with another Vette.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Couple pics from yesterday’s Morrisville Cars & Coffee show.
Blacked out is a cool look…
Putting on my “want” list for when we replace the brakes…
It’s soooo much easier to work under the hood of a C4!!! Look at all that room!!! 😉😂❤️😎
