spectator hill is a great view and a decent place to park. back straight for a few minutes for the experience , 9/10 another good spot to hang out. Be prepared to walk - shuttle bus inadequate on Saturday. Be sure to go behind the pits during the race to check out the action.

it will get cooler when the sun goes down, bring umbrella for rain, chair, cooler, beverages. Generally, you can leave your chairs and coolers set up and walk around without them being disturbed.

What time does everyone suggest I get to the track on Friday and Saturday?

I'll be staying in Gainesville.

I'm thinking this is my 14th Petit....missed a couple years since 98-

Friday- isn't really bad. Can still drive around the infield all day w/o too much traffic. Shuttle buses are running smoothly.

Saturday?

HWY 53 starts backing up at 8-8:30AM. Coming from 985 it's not as bad (Gainesville). I hate traffic so I get there early and have a Aussie Pie for breakfast!!!

I try to get there as soon as possible. I may or may not be in the corral as I'm working like crazy to get the car ready.

The past couple of years I usually got there right at or just before 8.

Sorry, but I do not have them any more.

I was able to get them replaced with normal tickets.
