Great news today for the folks like me who sorely miss the weekly Friday night Tower Shops car show - my friend Elan has forwarded me a flyer (below).

The new location is three miles west of the old location, in the 84 Diner parking lot on the southwest corner of Hiatus Road and State Road 84 (just south of 595).

Spread the word! Hope to see a Vette Section like we had for years at the Tower Shops location.

This show no longer exists.

The owner's of Ruby Tuesday felt they were getting more business then they wanted!

So, no more shows at that location.

How do you know? Despite the rain there were a few cars there last Friday, and they had a nice article up in the Sun Sentinel last weekend where the restaurant managers stated they were glad to have all the new business.

If it's really cancelled here, there is a Friday night car show at the Home Depot at University and Sterling, there is a good lot there for a car show and some restaurants along University.

The show at the area is over, till Sid can find another locations to have shows. I don't think Ruby Tuesday didn't expect to have big turnout like they did, and had to put someone in there parking lot for customers to park, not show cars.
I was at Home Depot last Friday, weather was good no rain and say there might of been 20 cars, lightning in the evening time was poor, but right now it's the only show in town on Friday night.

That's thought, but it's not Friday night, and people some how like to sit back on Friday night to relax, most of us have wifes, and car show on Saturday night is there night to have fun and don't understand sitting in parking lot isn't fun to them.
I have friend that has been trying to make it there, but the last few months it rain.

Yea my wife gave up on car shows years ago. I'm trying to get my little boys 11 and 9 into it, but it's a bit of a struggle. When I was that age I would have so wanted someone to take me to a car show, but I guess the "car gene" doesn't always transfer.

Actually I should be glad about one thing...the reason they claim they don't like to go is all the cigar smoke, those boys HATE smoking. That's good, I've lost too many folks to those darn cigs.

And, the show at Home Depot is a dud. It fails to have anyone show up.

There are two Saturdays for Doral. The 1st & the 3rd. I've been told the one for Corvette's is actually the 3rd Saturday, but I haven't made it there yet. Rain in June, July, August & Sept.

I did fail to get the word. Do you have any updated info on a Friday night car show? There is a LOT of people who used to attend Towers regularly, surprised someone doesn't want that business....

Heck Diner 84 was a ghost town just up from Ruby Tuesday, I'd thought they might want the business if Ruby Tuesday doesn't!

Went to both a few weeks ago...Ruby Tuesdays had only about 15 cars. Home Depot had more vendors than cars...what a way to f#*% up a good thing.

Yes and Tower Shops is dead empty and nothing has happened since they shut it down August first.

There is a meet every Tuesday, it moved to University and Griffin, Hoops Sports Bar, just moved there from Quarterdeck yesterday. Runs from 6-10 or so. I can never make it on a Tuesday. Elan runs it.

There is a S. Florida Vettes email list that Elan provides, comes out every Tuesday and lists events for the upcoming weeks. Send an email to southfloridavettes@gmail.com and ask to be put on it. I like it, I learn about a lot of events that way, it's a once a week email he sends.
