Default Body shop in FL (Pinellas County)

Well, my luck ran out tonight. My wife got rear ended in the Corvette. My wife is fine, the car didn't fare as well. It will need a whole new rear bumper cover, rear diffuser around the mufflers, and exhaust from the axle back.

My local dealer in AutoNation Chevy in Clearwater. I've never used them before for body work. They have one body shop for all of their brands, so I'm kinda hesitant. Does anyone have a recommendation for a body shop or Chevy dealer body shop here in Pinellas County.

I am so friggin' mad. The one car I wanted to keep for a long time and it gets hit in less than 3 months. No crashes since the early 90's.

I'm going to go directly to the other drivers insurance for all repairs, a rental, and diminished value on my car.

We took Mrs. sabre34's car there for repair a few years ago. The work was excellent as wellas the service and follow through. Good luck with repairs.

Well, I was all set to take it to Superior. But they can't take any more cars until the 29th or 30th. It's going to AutoNation Chevy in Clearwater. I'm hoping since the damage isn't too bad, they can do a decent job. Once I see how bad the damage to the exhaust/mufflers is, I may pay the difference and get stock NPP's or an aftermarket axle back system.

They hope to have it done by Friday, or Monday. The parts were ordered today and should be there tomorrow. The only unknown is the mufflers, mainly the right one. They won't know if it's actually bent or just pushed down until they get it torn down. The rear bumper cover is being repainted, the lower diffuser and impact foam inside is being replaced. The adjuster was pretty cool. He said he will make the car right again and doesn't think there will be any big surprises. I think the right muffler hanger is bent too.

If the muffler(s) need to be replaced, I will just take the money for them and install an aftermarket axle back a bit earlier than I'd planned.

My ZR1 spoiler from RPI shipped today, so I'll be drilling holes in it as soon as I get it back.

I got the car back this afternoon, a day ahead of schedule. Overall, I'm happy with the service of Progressive (other driver's insurance) and the AutoNation collision center in Clearwater. They called me daily with updates and explained all of the repairs that were being made. The repainted the original bumper cover and it looks great. There was a ding on one of the exhaust tips, so Progressive gave me a $200 "appearance credit" that I can put towards a new exhaust.

The ZR1 spoiler should be here tomorrow, so I'll get it mounted on that new, pretty paint this weekend.
