That first picture is awesome! I decided yesterday that I didn't mind sitting down looking at the tail lights of a Corvette.... As long as I'm sitting in the Driver's seat of our Corvette looking at y2kcoupe's tail lights!

After the last Black & White Cruise she was down to 3% (about 8000 miles) oil life remaining so I dropped her off at Pinkerton tonight for an oil change and to get the headlight 'recall' performed.
I think that my low beam bus bar is broken. I don't drive her a lot at night, but last summer while cruising in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg I think that the low beams cut off for a little while until it cooled down.

Got her back tonight, Oil Change and 'recall' completed. They charged me $72.64 for a Dry Sump oil change with higher burst pressure filter and said that the low beam bus bar was not broken, but of course they changed it under the Customer Satisfaction Program (recall).

The wife and I decided that since we got the Corvette back too late last night to make it to a nice restaurant for Valentine's Eve dinner before the 100,000+ strong of Lynchburg did we would run down to Greensboro to Darryl's Wood Fire Grill today. I wanted to go by Schiffman's Jewelry and we were late leaving this morning so I decided to just take the Corolla instead of the Corvette. Plus there was a 40% chance of rain here in Lynchburg while it was severe clear in Greensboro.
I spent way to long at Schiffman's so we got to Darryl's late and had about an hour wait for a table. Then ate and drove back home to Lynchburg. About halfway back to Danville from Greensboro it started to blow snow. Where did that come from snow wasn't in the forecasts that I saw this morning? Fast forward to just north of Chatham and there was actually snow in the grass and brine on the roads.
HOLY **** am I glad my a$$ overslept this morning and I decided to drive the Corolla!

Hibernation is over with. It looks like the early spring rains have done their jobs to clear the roads of any remnants of brine, salt, sand, and gravel from the horrendous winter we just came through. I for one want my global warming back.
Saturday, April 25, 2015 the Virginia Corvette Club will be sponsoring a Parkway Cruise from Bedford Virginia North through the Blue Ridge Parkway to Wild Wolf Brewery in Nellysford, VA. We, y2kcoupe and myself, are opening this up to the Forum as well. We will post maps and details much like the First Chance Cruise on January 1, 2015. Stay tuned. We hope to see a good Forum turnout.

Time to get the Vettes back on the road!
Join us on the Parkway cruise on April 25th - we will cruise North from the Peaks of Otter and come down by Crabtree Falls and end at the Wild Wolf Brewery in Nellysford for a late lunch. You can meet us anywhere along the way - we will start in Forest and go up 43 to the Parkway at the Peaks of Otter and then head north.
