Pigeon Forge Rod Run
We have been every year for the past 6 or 7 years, stay at the same hotel every year. Just called them to make a reservation and they are charging $169/ night For an Econo Lodge? Really?
They have finally priced themselves out of the market. Too bad, lots of cars and cruising but it's not worth it to drive up just for the day and I refuse to pay a gouge rate like that for what is really a $50/ night hotel room.
Anybody else going this year? Where are you staying?

It's a huge event, for sure. Every kind of hot rod, rat rod, Corvettes from C1s on, ricers with their fart can mufflers and redneques with their diesel trucks with bimbos in bikinis in lounge chairs in the bed Everybody brings their lawn chairs and coolers and set up on the side of the road just to watch.
Used to be a 4 day event but they have scaled back to the weekend only now. Traffic is a nightmare from Sevierville into Pigeon Forge, we come in through Townsend and it's not quite so bad.
I don't know......we may still drive up for the day but I refuse to stay overnight at those gouge rates.
And you're right.....lots of cars with for sale signs

We go to everyone. We book months in advance. We are staying at the Super 8 in pigeon forge....thursday-sunday. Getting excited!!! Almost got the vette ready to go. Onky a few more parts. If someone needs a place to crash.....bring an air mattress and you can crash with us.

Thats really cheap. Most hotels are $150+ a night with a 3 night minimum. Would love to meet up with some fellow corvette owners. Last fall i was there and tired talking to another c6 owner about his car and he threw his nose up at me and kept walking. Hope he is there again this year..... ill be his huckleberry!!!

We haven't decided yet. May drive up for the day on Saturday, weather permitting. I still refuse to pay their gouge rates to stay overnight.
