LS6, LS2, LS7, LS3, L99, LSA, LS9

For the past 20 years MTI Racing has been at the cutting edge of LS performance and our cylinder head program is no different. The LS cylinder heads flow darn good out of the box but there are huge improvements that can be made during the porting process that will increase power and torque. What does this mean to the end user, exceptional performance and ear to ear grins all around.

CNC cylinder head porting not only creates better flowing heads which in turm create more power but also correct casting flaws and core shift within the cylinder head casting. What does this mean, it means all the ports, exhaust and intake will be identical and perform the same. Look at it this way, if your cam lobes, intake runners, and valve sizes are consistent then your cylinder head ports need to be consistent also.

MTI Racing does all of it's head porting in house utilizing the best porting machinary in the industry, the Deckel Maho DMU-80 5-axis VMC, Boston Digital 505 5-axis VMC, and Newen Epoc 4 Axis macine for the Valve Jobs. When some people think of porting cylinder heads they think of porting the intake and exhaust ports as large as possible to make the most usable power possible, fact is porting cylinder heads takes a lot of time, testing, and precision machining to get it right. In a racing application the previous statement is some what true but when it comes to porting cylinder heads for street use maintaining port velocity is crucial for proper torque levels. Achieving this requires experience and proper equipment to get it right. Race cars are not so dependent on torque as they tend to operate at a much higher rpm level where horsepower is the name of the game, street cars operate at a much lower rpm range which relies heavily on torque.

MTI Racing can also work with each customer to meet any specific needs they may require. This gives the customer flexibility in the components that are used to assemble the heads and change chamber size if needed. We also offer head repair service. If you have a cracked or overheated head give us a call.

If you can do the camshaft, long tube headers with the heads that would be the ticket. Not only is there an excellent power increase but it will sound awesome also. PM me your contact info and I will put a couple estimates together for you. Email and phone#. Thanks.
