Default Charlotte Motor Speedway - Black Friday

Gonna take the vette to CMS for the holiday charity laps there. I called, and they will be doing it. $50 for 3 laps this year. So its kind of expensive. And they do make you follow a pace car. But it should still be an enjoyable time.

Is anyone interested in caravanning up or meeting there?

It was a good time, we just donated the $25 for the laps instead of purchasing the goods for $50.

Some nice Vettes up there but there were a lot of Challengers as well. Must have been about 25-30 of them

How fast did they let you get up to?

They were a lot more strict this year than in years past. We only got to 120-125 on one of the runs. The people running the event were pulling people off the track for passing cars and going above the "70 mph" suggested pace. A small video that was put together just from our group.

I've done this. I got four runs in and typically got a buck twenty on the backstretch. You could pass until you got to the pace truck which was doing 80-90. On one run it unexpectedly pulled into the pits with a lap and a half to go. I saw 135 in the turns.

I've heard it's become more lame since then.
