Ohhhh yea just 10 min from the house Don't forget the Bellair Plaza that is where the action is after hours.
There are many restaurants open, which is surprising. Higher end..Hooters right across the street is open..

I've been to the last several. I might make it there Friday. Family schedule is a lot different than normal this year, with a lot more in town. We'll see.
By the way, has anyone else noticed that there seem to be fewer and fewer vendors and more and more just.... junk for sale?

I go every year but always on Thursday. Many years ago I once made the mistake of trying to go another day and I was stuck on International Speedway Blvd for like 45 minutes getting off of 95. They must have been giving stuff away for free at that mall across the street. Plus the speedway parking was FULL (hard to believe) and they were directing everyone to off-site parking with shuttle buses. I turned around and went home.
When are they going to rent Segways so that I have a chance to actually see everything without my feet falling off?

I always park in the same primo spot every year so if I want it I got to get there early.
No segway's but plenty of those old fart scooters to rent. There are so many cars show cars their it's pretty much impossible to see them all in one day.

Our 17th year in a row.... going Friday & Saturday. We`ll be taking the Grand Prix again this year ( can`t WAIT to get the Vette finished & on the road!)
Look for us in the swap meet area both days... pulling the "Hot Rod Wagon"!

Arrived about 9:30 and was pulling in the general admission parking line. There are like what, 10,000 cars in the lot already?
Drove the C7 of course. One of the parking guides run up and flag me over. He says, park over here and park so I'll keep anyone from banging up your doors to your nice ride! that never happened to me there. What a car guy!
I only wish I had $80k in my pocket. I would have bought this nicest ride for sale there.
Look like a car someone would have built for SEMA. Very nicely done.
And got my free shirt from GM

I was there yesterday. 6,000+ cars. The place was slammed. Loved it.

Had a GREAT time! For the Vette, we scored a trans repair book, a spare wheel rim, battery cables, a battery disconnect, a bracket, lug wrench, a spinner, (and a hat for the wife)... and some handles for the 65 truck!
We also ran into the guy we bought our 71project from. He also owns this gorgeous 67...
The world`s biggest Coca-Cola bottle was there, in a Coke truck (owned by a friend of ours)....
THOUSANDS of cars everywhere you look...
The "Speed Racer" car was there...
And SLEW of beautiful Corvettes, including these...

Here is few shots taken in the field.
Traffic was terrible, glad I learned the short cuts to get to gate 50 or 70, saved lot time sitting in traffic. Motel to parking in the field 20 minutes.
