Default Info on the Hot Springs Corvette Weekend

A lot of people start rolling in on the Thursday the 21st of April. Evidently, a lot of people that drive Corvettes do not have a J..O..B. Registration will open at 3pm. Of course, we will stick around another couple of days.
There's one change that the brochure wasn't able to catch, but it's a good one. The 'Austin' which is the host hotel has been bought and under a complete makeover as I write. The new name is 'Hotel Hot Springs Spa & Convention'. I'm sure the desk will shorten that name some how. The phone # is the same....877-623-6697, and the $97 rate still applies.
Everyone that has attended in the past should get a brochure in the mail. You will notice a couple of changes....the 'Cannonball Run' is no longer...someone that wasn't even registered ran off in the ditch(well, actually it was the side of a mountain)......so you all know what that means......the word...liability should come to mind.
We feed you twice....the meal on Friday evening after the downtown parade will not be barbeque....it's called a Mexican Fiesta....you're liable for the Tums.
We have always been short on tables for the catfish dinner on Saturday. Hopefully this year that has been taken care of. We'll have 25 tables set up. The table set up is why we are bringing our wives...we think that will be good exercise for them. lol
Will Cooksey will be there this year.
There's more info on our web site...www.centralarkansascorvetteclub.com
You can register on line.....now,that I like.
Brochures should be going out, any day.

Hope to see ya there.

Larry

Hey Reggie......hope you can make it. I'll also be down in Jefferson for their show on the first weekend of June.
You know we're renting Centerville Drag Strip on the 9th of April.....anyone with a Vette is welcome. Your club will probably get a notice about it, if it's hasn't died by then.

Hi VJ. Boy, you got lucky....I'm judging C5 coupes this year. I usually judge C6's, but they swapped me this year. You know, I REALLY like donuts in the morning. lol

About 2 weeks before the show and 200 have preregistered.
For the ones that have stayed at the Austin (host hotel) before, you will be pleasantly surprised at the renovations that have been done since it was sold. You will not recognize it.
A breakfast comes with the room, since it has changed hands. I guess, I have something besides a Snicker Bar and Coke for breakfast this year.

Yeah, I remember your dad and mom. They asked for me at registration and I met them.
If you come in Thursday, ask for me, I'll be hanging around giving the blondes a hard time.

Hey Larry, guess we'll see you there. Are you doing Eureka this year again? We joined a club so we'll be in Hot Springs with them.

Hey Joe, I'll look forward to seeing you again. I think the host hotel is full. They extended the blocked rooms twice, but I think that's it. Of course, Hot Springs is loaded with places to stay and eat.
Yeah...I'll be at Eureka. I've been there every year since 1997.

There's going to be rain earlier in the week, but it's moving out Thursday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday looks sunny and around 80 degrees.
With the hotel's renovations they have zapped our car washing spot. There are several car washes close by. A map on how to get to them, auto parts places, and many other things that you may need will be in your packet.
I think many of you will be driving through some rain Thursday trying to get to Hot Springs.....I wish we had a spot to wash up, but with the renovations and feeling ourselves around the new hotel, there's nothing this year. Maybe, next year we can come up with something. ??
Hooter Girls, washing our cars would be ideal. In fact, there are suppose to be a few around Saturday at the show, but they will not be washing cars.

P.S. I was told that there will be 2 wash vans on location. One will be across the street from the parking deck.

Yeah....the New Orleans bunch knows how to have fun. I enjoy being around them.
After we get through Thursday, the weather is going to be great. Your car will probably look like h--- by the time you get here, but so will everyone else's. We can hit the 'wash vans' and clean them up.
I'm trying to decided whether to even wash mine. It will probably rain on me on my 1 1/2 hour trip to Hot Springs.
From the ones that have seen the host hotel, they say.....there will be a big surprise for the ones that have stayed there before.
Registration will be on the 2nd floor, along with the vendors, Thursday and Friday.
See ya there.

P.S. At 6pm Wed....the weather looks better for Thursday.
