April 15th Update: Registration is now closed as we've reached capacity. We look forward to hosting another great show for a great cause and sharing our Corvette passion with fellow enthusiasts.

Even if you are not registered, please stop by and check out the show, beautiful Corvettes, and other local attractions.

I need a new shirt so wife and I will be there.

I'm planning on going across Cortez to Longboat and then driving down the Key.

The Bird Key bridge can be a mess.

And Yeah. Get there early

Make sure to say hello! I will have my my club shirt, name tag, and Circle cap on plus I will be on the mike a few times. Since I'm the Show Chairman, I will be the one running around all over the place.

Since our show is one of the few that includes a nice Port Authority polo/golf shirt with registration, one of the changes I made after taking over as Show Chairman last year was to change the color of the shirt for each show. The first few years we included white polo shirts, however I realized that the majority of participants are returning from the year before, so I didn't want to give out another white polo shirt. Last year they were sky blue and this year they are steel gray. Next year is TBD.

I'm going to drive through the Circle tomorrow to check out the road repairs near the bridge. The Circle Association and the FDOT told us they are not working on the road during the weekend so fingers crossed there will be limited delays at registration.

We closed registration about two weeks ago once we reached the 160 capacity limit. We already have 8 on stand-by so it's unlikely we will be able to get any day-of-show cars on the Circle. However, you're always welcome to stop by and if you get their early enough you can park your car on the street outside the Circle. It won't be in the show, however it's still a fun way to spend a Saturday.

P.S. - Sorry for the lost pictures originally posted. My hosting account was hacked and I had to delete, move pictures, which changed the URL.

We will be there with a bunch of our clients. Bringing the 1400whp C7 with us, a few other supercharged combos and some N/A builds. Look forward to a great day!

Great! I think you've worked on a couple of our club member cars and would like to talk about the CAI upgrade options on the C7Z.

I will clean it, so I am kind of showing it
But yea, it just will not be the same as showing the "Lemonmobile" or "Pewter"

May 6th Update:

I've received a few calls regarding the impact of the construction repairs on Coon Key Bridge westbound entering St. Armand's Circle after crossing the Ringling Bridge from downtown Sarasota.

This is the main entrance onto St. Armand's Circle and is the correct route for registration. Anyone coming south down Gulf of Mexico Drive through Longboat Key won't be allowed to "cut" in front of those parked in line for registration and will be routed behind any cars parked in line.

We drove the bridge a few times over the past few weeks during various times of the day. The heaviest back-ups are usually around the typical weekday rush hours or mid-day when people are heading to Lido Beach or the St. Armand's shops/restaurants. As a result, we are not expecting any major delays early in the morning (pre 9AM) on Saturday although we do expect the traffic pace to be slower than usual.

After crossing the Ringling Bridge towards St. Armand's Circle, the two westbound lanes will merge into one westbound lane after the Bird Key Bridge (stoplight). Once you cross over the Coon Key Bridge (where the repairs are taking place), the westbound lanes will again expand back into two lanes. All registered participants should stay in the left lane as the registration booth will be on the left. The Skyway Corvette Club will have members in easily identified white club shirts and safety vests helping to manage traffic and the registration flow. We will be stopping all participants at each of the cross streets entering the Circle to allow local residents and non-show participants in/out access to the side streets as we register participants and load the Circle for the show. We have also asked two of the largest participating clubs to arrive 1.5 hours apart to help avoid any back-up traffic.

The eastbound/outbound lanes are not effected and should have no impact for participants leaving the show in the afternoon.

The weather forecast is for "beautiful" tomorrow, so we appreciate your patience as we work through the bridge construction and ask that you allow yourself a little more time for travel and registration.

Thanks!

An absolutely beautiful day with a 156 Corvettes in the Circle. Due to the additional monuments installed in the park over the winter, we had to limit access into, and exit out of, the Circle to one location. The good news is that we may be able to squeeze another 20 cars into the show next year as a result.

Pics of the show are located here on our club's Facebook page. Save the wave!

I want to thank all of those who participated and registered for the event. We had 154 cars in the Circle day of show and due to the elimination of one of the Circle entrance/exit points, we will be able to expand registration next year to another 20 cars.

We are finishing up the final post-show audits and we have a total of 9 "Corvettes on the Circle" polo shirts that are still available for sale for anyone interested. We have 7 2016 Gray shirts, 1 2015 Admiral Blue shirt and 1 2014 Brilliant White shirt available for sale. Picture and sizes listed below. We are selling these for $25.00 each (same price at show), however we will cover the S&H with all proceeds going to the Honor Flight of West Central Florida. PayPal only, please send me PM if interested. This post-show sale will end May 31st as we close the books on the 2016 show and any left overs will be at next year's show.

Thanks!
