[QUOTE=pmr2000;1591843419]Yeah guessing it is rain or shine....looking like thunderstorms in the a.m....not sure how that will play out will it delay all track time or slow down speeds?[/QUOTE
The event was confirmed rain or shine on the FB page by another driver who called VIR. Can't imagine the same experience in thunderstorm weather🙁. I'm going to make a morning decision to stay home or go and get there early since I can't wait it out all afternoon. Praying for a delay or early front!!!

Looking at your gear selection and speed I would say we had a different experience that was determined on how close we each were to the pace car. Midway through the pack I got to experience the rubber band effect.

No Doubt the closer to the pace car the better the runs. We planned it that way setting up on line to be within 4 cars of the pace car. It seemed to make a difference especially with our first run where we hit 120 on straightaway... the highest I got in the two runs.

On my first run the car behind me threw a code, so half of the pack rapidly fell about a quarter - 1/2 a mile behind me. I took full advantage of that to slow up and allow them to catch up to me a bit, and then caught back up with the cars ahead. It was a good time.
