Date for 2017 Hot Spings Corvette Weekend
The actual show will be on Saturday April 22nd. People start showing up and registering on Thursday the 20th.

One thing to add.....there will be an Autocross this year. The event will be sat up at the Hot Springs Mall's parking lot.

For the ones that are on our mailing list, brochures for the show are going out this week. Everyone else, can use the web site ww.centralarkansascorvetteclub.com, or just show up.
Will Cooksey will be there, also Ken Lingenfelter. Ken will be the guest speaker at the Mexican Fiesta and Social, Friday evening, which is part of your package when you register.
A vendor that should interest some is APSIS-USA. He's a carbon fiber guru from N.Y. This week he is in Florida at the NCRS show.

Well.....the blocked rooms are gone and the host hotel is full for the weekend. I don't know about the Comfort Suites, which is on the other end of the convention center. Of course, there are a hundred more motels and hotels in Hot Springs, so getting a place to stay will not be a problem.

I found availability through my work's travel website at the Embassy Convention Center for $165/night. Seem like a fairly good rate compared to the blocked off rooms?

Above....I mentioned 'Comfort Suites', but I meant Embassy Suites. They are on the East side of the convention center, while the host hotel 'Hotel Hot Springs' is on the West side. A lot of people stay at the Embassy.
The convention center is about 2 blocks long, and the Embassy Suites is a little closer to the area that has been reserved for the show.
Both hotels are excellent.
The Hotel Hot Springs, was bought and redone and still being expanded. It's now one of the best in Hot Springs. Our blocked rates were $112, which is a good deal, but like I found out when I called for my own reservations....it looks like I will be staying at some friends.

An update...I've already mentioned that Will Cooksey and Ken Lingenfelter will be at the show. At the last club meeting, was told that Mike Yager, from Mid America will also be there.
One will be going on the scenic tour Friday, and the other will be at the Autocross. Both will help in the judging on Saturday.
