Default Problem Mounting Michelin Pilot SS ZO6

I got a large nail in a front tire driving from Ashville to Mooresville on Sunday. I had to drive the last 45 miles at about 40 mph to get home. I took it to Discount Tire in Mooresville.. They had patched this tire once before. I wasn't surprised when they said the tire could not be patched. The replacement tire came in yesterday, but they haven't been able to mount it. They even took it to Randy Marion but they couldn't mount it either. I figured as much.

Does anyone know anyone in the Mooresville area that can mount these run flats? DT mounted this tire when I got the first flat about 6 months ago, but haven't been able to mount this one. I appreciate your help.

Norm

Discount figured it out. I will pick up the tires tomorrow.

Norm - never had an issue with my local DT in Denver.

You trade in that red C6 for a Z?

Craig, Hope all is well with you and your family. Yes, I sold my 2008 Vette, and bought a 2015 Z. It has been a great car, except for two nails in the right front tire. DT in Mooresville finally figured out how to get the two new front tires mounted. They ended up scratching one of the black rims, and are having it painted. I am waiting for them to call now. Here is a picture of two happy people taking Museum delivery.

I have no personal experience with this shop but they were recommended by a friend who recently had tires installed on his tricked out 5 series BMW.

That's one sweet looking Z!

I had a set of 345/30/19 - Michelin Pilot Super Sports mounted on my C6Z wheels - and DT didn't have an issue.

Do you go to Cars and Coffee in Mooresville at all? They have one the first Sat of every month at the Hobby Lobby off of highway 150.

I went for the first time last weekend and liked it - and its a lot closer for me then Charlotte since we moved out to Denver last year.

I did not know about C&C in Mooresville. I will try to remember on 9/3. It would be great to see you again.

When McKenney warrantied my two rear tires they couldn't get the new tires sealed either. They sent them out to a local motorsports shop that didn't have a problem getting them to seal.
