About 4 years ago I took my old '87 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe to the show held there in early November. Is it the same show? About 400 cars were registered and they gave out piston type trophies to the 'Top 200'. Too many cars to use a 'points' system so from what I understood they picked the best presented examples. Cleanliness, presentation (paint, wheels, tires, etc...), and also the rarity factor. You can only pick out so many Camaro SS and Chevelle SS cars before you start yawning. Needless to say I won one of those trophies with my Aero. I wasn't the only one there either as I saw two others. If you go, have fun! The museum & shops were open for all the participants. Really enjoyed it.

Yes...this is one of the best shows in the area.....so many cars and so much quality. And it goes to a good cause. As far as judging...when I was there a few years ago, it was merely a points sheet. I am uncertain whether NCRS or NCCC rules applied. Highly recommend attending it though.

I'm also a veteran of that show. Lots of really nice cars and high quality judging. The details are very important if you want to do well.

So would ya'll say it's worth it to drive a couple hours down for this show? I would not be judged as I would be driving 2+ hr to get there, just displaying.

I agree. It's 3.5 hours from my home in western NC but it was a really full fun day. Not going this year but I will attend again.
