Daytona HPDE track event on Rolex24 roadcourse Dec 9-11
An opportunity is coming up to run the Daytona Rolex24 track Dec 9-11, 2016!!
It's a 3 day event, but you can run 1, 2, or all 3 days.
Below is a link to a thread in the AutoX/Roadracing section. In that thread you can see links to info about the organizing groups and where to register:

This event is very novice friendly, with beginners getting an instructor to ride along as coach. They generally run 4 run groups - novice/beginner, intermediate, advanced, instructor/expert. We'll run four 30 minute sessions per day, so you'll get about 2 hours of track time each day.
Hope to c'ya at the track!!

When is the next one? Cost?
Does it have to be Corvette only? I may bring my GT-R instead of the C7. Does the group offer track insurance? No way I'll ever bring either car without some sort of protection. PM me for details I'm interested in this. Due to family emergency no way could I have made this one.
EDIT: LOL watched your video...xmas movie while racing that's funny! Saw it was an Audi event so I'm guessing any car can go.

You can see in that thread that the registration fee goes up Jan 1st.
The event is in connection with the Celebration Exotic Car Festival, so there will be all sorts of exotic cars, as well as your basic Vettes, Vipers, Stangs, Porsches, etc. There will be racing sessions in between the HPDE sessions.
You should be able to get insurance from your regular track insurer.
Otherwise, Flat Out Motorsports has a couple insurers they work with. Take a look at their site:

In there it says:
-Track Insurance
Track Insurance is available for all of our events. If you would like the added peace of mind of track insurance we are an approved organization with Lockton Affinity and OnTrackInsurance.com You can find links to both companies websites on our sponsor page and both offer online quotes.
