Default North Atlanta - suggestions on where to get clutch work done (C5)

Any one got any suggestions for getting work done on stock clutch. Not looking to upgrade, just want to find out why the pedal on my z06 does not come fully back up ( have done ranger method, fluid is clean). Problem intermittent, normal driving.

Any suggestions appreciated, would rather avoid dealer if possible.

Stuart

Have you called Vengeance Racing by chance? They should be able to help you out.

Vengeance is good...

I am willing to bet your problem is the slave cylinder leaking. You can look under the engine where it mounts to the bellhousing and see if there is some fluid on it. Their is an access panel under there as well so you can see a little inside.

I had the EXACT same issue on my other c5. The slave cylinder was going out. It is a ~$175 part that requires dropping the TQ tube and the whole rear end about $800 worth of labor. I did mine in my garage on jackstands.

If it is your slave cylinder, you might as well replace the clutch and check the flywheel for wear.

Called Vengance Racing, they seem to be busy and suggested I took it to a dealer.

Bags - fluid level does not seem to drop in reservoir which I would expected if there was a leak?

Any experience of MTI Racing?

MTI is good... but they have a bad reputation when it comes to how they treat customers. I have NOT had that issue with them, but many have posted that they did.

If you are not loosing any fluid, the slave cylinder could still be bad. Or it could be the master cylinder or maybe to clutch return spring.

Best way to figure some out yourself is to look under the dash and check clutch spring. And then under the car. There is an inspection cover you can remove by just dropping the H pipe...

MTI is garbage.

If VR can't do then use the dealer for a stock or close to stock car.

We are busy, but can certainly work in a clutch install to resolve your issues. Feel free to give us a call or send me an email at Ron@VengeanceRacing.net.

Thank you to all who mentioned us above. We truly appreciate your support.

lots of friends went there and their cars broke and the service after was horrible. Wouldn't have them change my oil.
