Visiting Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Pensacola next week
Next week I am taking a family vacation out to the Orange Beach, AL area for a week (Spring Break). We're driving down from Chicago, sans Corvette. Wife wants to hang on the beach most of the time, weather pending. Looking for some other ideas while in the area for maybe the early afternoon/evenings or for bad weather days. I am planning one day to drive over to the Pensacola lighthouse, naval museum, and Fort Barancas. And we read about The Wharf for shopping. Kids are 11 and 9, both boys. Any other activities we should check into while in the area? Thought about a dolphin tour...not sure though.

Vroom, vroom Vettes at the Village returns to the Village of Baytowne Wharf Saturday, April 1st from 10am-4pm. Area corvette clubs bring "America's Sports Car" to the Events Plaza, these automotive icons will be shined to the max as they zoom into the Village streets. Heel & Toe
I'll be out there next weekend. My family comes down yearly for spring break... Fortunately, this year I only have a 2 hour drive vs their 17.
Naval museum is awesome, especially if you can get there a day when the blue angles are flying. Lambert's is good eating. Be warned, alcohol ban on the beaches this time of year. Would need to conceal carry that stuff.
