Default 2001 MagRedMN6 500FWHP For Sale

Car is a flawless example of a garage kept 'vette, even the seats have almost no wear (driver side has I think "5" normal leather creases in it-that's it!-pic availalable). Paint has one small 5 mm scratch on nose below headlight (pic availabe). Other than that she is one beautiful machine with dyno proven 500/455 brake HP and TQ. 19K miles.

List of Mods:

Donaldson Intake, LAPD High Flow Airbridge, Ported TB, MSD heavy duty wires and wire heat shields, FLP Coated Headers into X-pipe (H/F cats and Off Road pipes), Z06 mufflers (-40lbs of weight from stock).

Cartek H-cam built by Comp Cams (224/228 .563/.571 113lsa), has a mild lope (no stalling with A/C on or shaking, tons of low end, mid, and top), 925 rpm idle. Lingenfelter CNC ported LS6 heads with lighter sodium vavles, 11.2 compression. NOTE: "0" knock retard on dyno runs with 93 octane back to back in 95 degree humid Florida weather-car is tuned timing/fuel very conservatively. Mild underdrive pulley (no charging problems), 160 thermo, custom LS1 dyno editing (fans go on at 195, no 1-4 "skip" shift, redline raised to 6700), shortened factory shifter. Gas mileage is 35-27 mpg at highway cruise 70-85+ mph with air on (I love that!)

423/386 SAE (at 6K/5K respectively) with the lowest run recorded at 416/387 SAE in this miserable summer weather. 4K miles on heads & cam warrantied through Chevrolet, LS1 edited by Chevrolet.

Z06 Swaybars and Bilstein sport shocks, and CCW Black Classic 18x10/18x11.5 shod with 275/35 335/30 Michelin Pilot Sports with about 7,000 miles on them (if I recall)-Still look new with hardly any tread gone (that I can see-meticulous PSI checks, balance, and alignment). Lowered to the factory stops wand just added an LAPD aluminum heat treated tunnel shield (car frame stiffer and cooler) with last oil change.

European beam headlights (better than stock), Z06 grill openings, Mag Red and Glass top, Non-run flat repair kit+air compressor+ Mercedes scissor jack, orginal Chevrolet VCR tape and owners manual (and the pen!). Car has been garage kept and seen a lot of highway miles between North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and now Florida. Car has bumper-bumper $0 deductible 7/70 with only 19K miles on it which will cover all non-modded parts.

$35K OBO (49K MSRP in '01, 11K+ in mods, 2K in extended warranty invested) I'm not interested in trading it or parting it out-I'm saving for the new Z06

Thanks dude. Call me crazy but after driving it for five days straight, and going to a Chev/BMW dealership and having both salesman be like "...Whoa..." Jaws dropped today when I was car shopping-
I $h!t you not...

So, I'm raising the price! This is too much car to part with for only $35K! The miles, the condition, the power (the fuel economy-better than stock!), built by Chevrolet and with 3.5 more years of warranty left. So new sales price is $37K OBO!! And here's the thing-80% of me does not want to sell-so I'm OK if I don't! Today made me realize that! But, we'll see-it's a special car, for a special buyer who is looking for this type of car. So we'll see!

i must admit you have a very sweet car, but you got to realize you don't really increase the value of your car with mods. Maybe to a euthasist that wants a proven modded car, but to a regular buyer it may not.

A good condition 01 coupe around here can be had for under 31k so you might want to think about your price if you really want to sell it

Yea, I'm familiar with the whole mod-dollar ratio, but I figure getting $.50 per dollar on my mods is more than reasonable, especially since 85% of the mods are made/endorsed by Chevrolet (Z06 heads, etc...) and 100% of it was installed by Chevrolet and warrantied as such-not to mention an extended 7/70 warranty which cost $1800.

I've decided I'm not going to give this car away-so if I don't sell it, that's fine too. Anyone who sees/hears/drives the car in person and wants a C5 in this great condition would buy it immediately.

Just the same, I do appreciate your advice
