What's the difference between leaded and unleaded. I heard it's a myth

Check this site out.

I see you kicked a 7 year old thread here.
Leaded gas is unavailable in CA.. but I can still fine 100 octane no-lead in a few places in San Diego. My '61 has a 1970 LT-1 motor (11:1 cr)

This is a useful site: http://www.pure-gas.org/

You can pump 110 leaded race gas at various race track facilities throughout California. Some require you signing a form stating that you will not operate the vehicle with leaded fuel on a public highway and you shouldn't operate it even at a racetrack if you're running a computer-controlled EFI system with an Oxymoron sensor.

Quite a few places: Shell at Clinton Keith and I-15, 76 at Vineyard and Holt in Ontario, and there are others. Propel or Pearson. LOL - brand new at the pump.
